Casting call: Swim Low at Ryers University, GTA

Sixteen-year-old Alison, a head full of dreams and a heart left in the past, loves to swim. What no one believes – is that Alison is able to venture into the afterlife by holding her breath, and swimming low under the waters. She then transcends into a world where she can be with her late mother Seraphin, but she can only stay for a span of a breath. Consequently, Hua, her loyal nanny, is worried for Alison’s wellbeing. When Hua suffers a heart attack, Alison dives too deep for too long, searching for what she had never known to appreciate. When face to face with a vital decision, Alison learns to let go of Seraphin and the afterlife, and Hua’s wise words guide her back to reality.
